Ipoh: The Perak State Cultural Council, in collaboration with the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) Perak, will present the grand theatrical masterpiece “Alang Rentak Seribu”, written by National Laureate YBhg Dato’ Syed Alwi Bin Syed Hasan. The play is scheduled to be staged on November 8 and 9, 2024, at the JKKN Auditorium in Perak.
Directed and adapted by Ard Omar, the production promises an impressive line-up of renowned actors, including Azizah Mahzan, Nesa Idrus, Faha Azhar, Pak Chu (Raja Lawak), Rosli Rahman Adam, Faris Jamhari, and many more.
“Alang Rentak Seribu” tells the story of Alang, a village youth with multiple talents who skilfully navigates the challenges that arise in his community.
The plot thickens when a film crew from Filem Negara arrives to shoot a movie about village life, sparking a clash of values and opinions between the villagers and the crew from Kuala Lumpur. Audiences can expect a blend of humour and intense drama throughout the performance.
