AMANITA Team of IPD Ipoh Engages in Crime Prevention Program

IPOH: The Women’s Volunteer Squad (AMANITA) from the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) engaged with the community through a Meet & Greet program in the business area of Kampung Rapat, Ipoh.

Leading the initiative was Inspector Velamal Kanappan, accompanied by five AMANITA team members.

The program aimed to connect with the community and provide information on crime prevention measures, as well as gather feedback on local incidents.

Additionally, the program raised public awareness about using registered lines for assistance and introduced the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) system.

In another session, the Ipoh IPD participated in the Kinta District Child Protection Advocacy Program 2024 at Sekolah Kebangsaan Silibin.

Representing the Ipoh IPD were Assistant Superintendent Norshaharah Marzuki from the District Crime Investigation Division and Inspector Devendran Balakrishnan, Chief of Jelapang Police Station.

This program aimed to enhance understanding of the situations involving children in need of care and protection, providing the Child Protection Team (PPKK) an opportunity to get to know the children in their areas better.

Furthermore, the program demonstrated the commitment of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in community awareness initiatives.

Also present at the event were Azarina Alias, District Education Officer for Kinta Utara, and Jalaludin Ismail, Principal of SK Silibin.
