IPOH: Although the complaints are not about potholes or sinkhole, the concerns of residents in Taman Desa Aman require action.
They have raised issues regarding the condition of the road iron covers located at the junction leading into the area.
The surrounding concrete has cracked, causing the surface to appear lower.
Those unfamiliar with the road have been caught off guard when hitting the uneven surface.
As a result, residents and road users here are calling on the responsible authorities to inspect whether the condition of the concrete and the road iron covers is safe for use.
A resident who wished to be known as Edward Lim stated that the entrance to Taman Desa Aman is busy with vehicles coming in and out.
“Sometimes, even large trucks use this road as it connects to residential areas.
“At times, we worry since the road iron cover is quite wide; we’re concerned about the possibility of accidents,” he said.
Merchant Khairul Anuar Zainal suggested that maintenance work be carried out by the authorities, including repairing the damaged concrete.
“I’m not sure when the last inspection was done.
“As users, we hope the authorities can come down to assess not only the condition of the road here but also the surrounding areas,” he requested.
