IPOH: The largest furniture expo in Perak, ‘Perak Homex 2024’, is currently taking place at the Indera Mulia Stadium in Ipoh until October 27 (Sunday).
This four-day event is organized by the Perak Furniture Makers and Sellers Association.
The Chairman of the Housing and Local Government Committee Perak, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, stated that the event serves as an important platform to showcase the strengths of the local furniture industry.
“Malaysia is one of the top ten furniture exporters in the world.
“The Malaysian furniture industry indeed has a bright future, but we must continue to innovate and adapt to strengthen design, branding, and automation,” she said in a statement.
Sandrea officiated the program.
Also present at the event were the State Assemblyman for Simpang Pulai, Wong Chai Yi, and former Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Roshidi Hashim.
Sandrea added that, she was confident the local furniture industry in Malaysia can be elevated to a higher level on the global stage.
