Bos Gaurus Supporters Angry Over Perak FC’s Decision to Play at SSI

By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: Unable to hide their disappointment, Perak FC supporters are upset by the decision to change the location of their Super League match against JDT.

The postponed match will now take place at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium (SSI) near Iskandar Puteri, Johor, this Sunday at 8:15 PM.

This development was announced by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) through a statement about the venue change, which had previously been set to take place at Perak Stadium.

This situation has caused dissatisfaction among supporters, who feel that Perak FC’s management should not have chosen another location.

Among the comments received by Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic, supporters questioned the decision, calling it unreasonable.

A supporter, who wants to be known as Latiff, said Perak FC should have chosen a neutral venue, such as in Kuala Lumpur.

“This is an ‘away home’ match, but playing in Johor feels like playing against the home team.

“When playing there, the opponent has the advantage because it’s the stronghold of their supporters, while we have to travel so far. This is ridiculous,” he expressed.

Yeop Johari also voiced his dissatisfaction, saying the match at SSI was unfair to Perak FC supporters, especially since no clear explanation had been given about the decision.

“Although Perak FC provides bus services for supporters, that’s not the issue.

“Perak supporters will have to spend time, energy, and money to go there. This doesn’t even include accommodation and food costs.

“I’m angry because Perak FC’s management seems to have accepted MFL’s decision without question,” he said.

Saiful Anuar Zainal, also upset, said he and his friends were forced to boycott Perak FC over the decision to play in Johor.
