Single Mother Opens Sambal Paste Processing Workshop to Expand Business

TAPAH: What started as a small-scale venture has now grown into a thriving business for a single mother who successfully opened her own sambal paste processing workshop.

Located in Taman Muhibbah, Temoh near here, the owner, Siti Fatimah Osman, is now proud to see her CTYZA Enterprise workshop up and running.

According to Siti Fatimah, she is a small entrepreneur who received guidance and assistance from the Perak State Agricultural Department to establish the processing workshop.

Other agencies that also helped include the Perak State Entrepreneur Secretariat (STeP).

“Previously, I successfully produced 1,200 bottles of sambal in 2023, with a sales value of RM21,600.

“In addition to processing sambal paste, I also teach cake and pastry making to train more skilled entrepreneurs,” she said.

Siti Fatimah is also a recipient of grants from STeP and other agencies like the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA).

She is also an active entrepreneur who regularly participates in programs organized by various agencies and is registered in the Perak Entrepreneur Information System (STeP).

Earlier, the opening of the processing workshop was officiated by the Director of the Perak State Agricultural Department, Norsiyenti Othman.

Also present were the Director of STeP, Mohamad Rozlan Mohamad Razali, and the Assistant District Officer of Batang Padang, Shahrizal Jamalullail Shahudin.
