IPOH: Cherita Secangkir Kopi 2024, the largest coffee sale festival eagerly awaited by coffee lovers, once again brings together its fans.
Held at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Bandar Meru Raya here, it brings together over 50 vendors offering coffee-based drinks and food.
Among the vendors are Barista Coffee, Saigon, Kopi Depan Rumah, Pondok Kopi 68, Kopi dan Bulan, Syanaj Coffee, and Coffee Camp 612.
Last year, it was held for one day, but due to popular demand, this year’s event is extended to two days.
For visitor Hadif Akmal, the coffee festival offers a chance for guests to experience a variety of coffees all under one event.
He said the location is also ideal as it is easy to visit and not crowded.
“As coffee lovers, we get to know the coffee vendors better because each one offers something unique.
“Cherita Secangkir Kopi could be made an annual event in the state’s tourism calendar,” he said.
Visitor Alisya Faizarah Ahmad from Kuala Lumpur described the coffee festival as being in line with current trends, especially among the youth.
“The prices are also reasonable, making it an attraction for visitors from outside Ipoh,” she said.
“As a coffee city, this festival can be further diversified with additional activities,” she said.
Cherita Secangkir Kopi 2024 is organized by the WAKEUP Exco Office, the Perak State Entrepreneurs Secretariat (STeP), and related agencies.
This festival offers young people an opportunity to turn coffee into a business.
