Children’s Day Celebration for Poor Orang Asli Children

To mark World Children’s Day, which was on 20 November 2024, the Family Wellness Club brought joy and cheer to about 30 poor orang asli children at the Kg. Pawong Orang Asli village, which is about a 45 minutes drive from Ipoh.

The children, aged from 5 to 12 years old, eagerly played the games that had been planned for them and were thrilled when they received prizes for winning. They also loved the lucky draws of boxes and tins of chocolates,  followed by some refreshments of delicious nasi lemak and orange juice.

This community service project for the poor orang asli children was made possible from some of the funds that Family Wellness Club had raised a few months ago from their Food Fair Fundraiser.

Watching the beaming, happy children who came up to say their ‘thank you’s to them at the end, touched the members of the Family Wellness Club.

This had been a very meaningful and successful project.
