TAPAH: Three people were injured in a collision involving three vehicles near Tasik Temoh here today.
In the accident, two victims from a Toyota Estima multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) were injured, one from a Perodua Myvi was injured, while the victim from a Proton Saga was unscathed.
Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Assistant Director of the Operations Division of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), said they received an emergency call at 11:40 AM and a team from the Tapah Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene.
“The fire team, upon arrival, was instructed by the operation commander to extricate the trapped victims using special equipment.
“There were eight people in the Toyota Estima, two of them injured, while one person was injured in the Perodua Myvi.
“The victims who were successfully extricated were handed over to the EMRS, Civil Defence Force (APM), and the Ministry of Health Malaysia,” he said on Sunday.
He added that all the victims were taken to Tapah Hospital for treatment and further action.
