IPOH: A town hall session with traders and vendors from Desa Aman and Station 18 was held at the Dewan Orang Ramai Taman SPPK here.
The session was organized as part of a briefing on the relocation of vendors from both areas to Jalan Medan Stesen 19/9, Station 18.
The session was chaired by City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak.
Also present were Tebing Tinggi State Assemblyman Dr. Abdul Aziz Bari and MBI Councillor Clr Datuk Ahmad Hariri Kamarudin.
A total of 21 traders and vendors attended the session.
The briefing covered issues related to unlicensed street vendors, the relocation layout plan, and the concept of the My Kiosk stalls.
The majority of traders expressed their agreement with the relocation proposal, and MBI will proceed with the next steps.
The vendor relocation project is part of MBI’s initiative to organize vendors in a structured and systematic manner.
This will also allow traders and vendors to operate legally with licenses.
The My Kiosk stalls initiative, as announced by the Prime Minister in the 2023 Budget speech, emphasizes support for local micro, small, and medium enterprises to become more competitive and enhance their business capabilities.
