IPOH: Over 200 local residents attended the Health Screening of the Jom Sihat Rahmah 2024 Program held at the Chemor Community Hall.
The event was jointly organized by Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cahaya Rahmah Ipoh, the advisory panel of Greentown Health Clinic, the Mimbar Nusantara Group, and the Makmur State Charity Association of Perak.
The objective was to raise awareness about free medical screenings for the local community, encouraging them to take care of their health.
Among the activities carried out were blood donation, and health screenings such as glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, dental, eye exams, and more.
The program received a positive response from the local community, with many attending early in the morning for their check-ups.
Azrina Abd Latif, Chairperson of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cahaya Rahmah Ipoh, said that this was a community program focusing on the health of the people, especially in Chemor within the Tambun Parliamentary area.
“Inshallah, we will organize this again next year and hope to raise awareness about the importance of health, so that we can prevent diseases from an early stage,” she said.
“Thanks also to all parties for their cooperation and support, especially District Health Officer Dr. Zamri, Dr. Amilia from Greentown Health Clinic, and Dr. Amy Tan from the advisory panel of Greentown Health Clinic.”
She also expressed gratitude for the support from the Sungai Siput Hospital team, the pharmacy unit, and the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN).
The program also received sponsorship from companies such as Spritzer, Watertech, HTM Pharmacy, Hovid Berhad, and Ha’ritage.
The sponsorship included items such as mineral water, biscuits, glucose monitors, hand sanitizers, and herbal tea drinks.
