MANJUNG: Although school holidays are underway, preparations for students to start the new school term next week are still being made.
The Manjung Municipal Council (MPM), through the efforts of the Residents’ Committee (JKP), organized a school supplies donation program.
The initiative was overseen by the Chairman and Council Member for Manjung Municipal Council Zones 6 (Seri Manjung) and 19 (Beruas).
A total of 340 students, including children from underprivileged, orphaned, and disadvantaged families, received the donations under the Manjung Municipal Council’s ‘Perbandaran Penyayang’ initiative.
The recipients were selected in collaboration with local schools, Village Development and Security Committees, Neighborhood Watch areas, and housing associations.
This initiative, organized in cooperation with Pasaraya Borong Sakan Sdn. Bhd., aims to support the community, particularly those from low-income and disadvantaged backgrounds.
The program helps ease the burden on the families of these students and demonstrates the commitment of the Council Members as community leaders.
Meanwhile, MPM, as a local authority, continues to be attentive to the needs of the municipal community.
