IPOH: See litter but don’t know who’s throwing it?
Littering is a social issue that needs to be addressed.
Don’t let it pass by unnoticed!
If we stay silent, this bad habit will become normal, and eventually, it won’t be surprising if Ipoh becomes even dirtier.
The Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp Malaysia) in a post on their Facebook page suggested that the community should be the eyes and ears.
Through the statement, SWCorp encourages the public to take action.
“Take pictures of areas with litter and upload them to your neighborhood or community Facebook group.
“Then, add an informative caption with the formula: a polite reminder, the correct way to dispose of waste, and encouraging the community to maintain cleanliness,” the statement said.
Enforcement by the authorities is only effective when we, as members of society, take an active role.
Don’t wait! Kindly remind others to ensure this behavior doesn’t happen again.
