After contributing nearly 38 years of service, Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC) Dato’ Pahlawan Ng Kong Soon has left the police force.
Kong Song ended his duties as the Head of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (KJPJKK) of the Perak Police.
His position is now taken over by SAC Zaharudin Rasip, who was previously the Deputy Director of Narcotics (Intelligence/Operations) at the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, Bukit Aman.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Acting Perak Police Chief, DCP Zulkafli bin Sariaat.
Reflecting back, Kong Song joined the police force on April 5, 1987.
During this time, he served for 13 years in the Perak Contingent as the District Police Chief of Kampar and Deputy Head of KJPJKK (Strategic Planning) until his last position.
Meanwhile, in another event, Zulkafli took the time to meet and deliver a message to 167 new officers and police personnel who had just reported to the Perak Contingent.
In his speech, he advised the new police personnel to carry out their duties with trust, honesty, and sincerity.
