A total of 190 parking stickers for 2019 were distributed to 24 media agencies by Ipoh City Council on Wednesday, February 26 at Impiana Hotel, Ipoh.
Council Secretary Mohd Zakuan Zakaria said that the parking stickers are “gifts” to media practitioners in recognition of their role in the propagation of news. “Ipoh City Council would like to thank all media agencies for keeping Ipohites and Perakeans informed about the state’s progress. The parking stickers are nothing compared to the hard work and sacrifices made by media practitioners. Hopefully, they’ll continue to work closely with the Council,” he said.
The president of Perak Media Sport and Welfare Club, Rosli Mansor thanked the council for the assistance rendered to media agencies.
“The stickers enable reporters to move about easily without fear of being booked for illegal parking. The Council has resolved many problems affecting members of the media club. We can’t ask for more,” he said.
