Malaysia’s pioneering natural mineral water producer, Spritzer Berhad, celebrated its 30th anniversary recently in a big way.
Running on the theme, “One with Nature”, it was held at the Spritzer Eco Park in Taiping with over 1500 in attendance.
Kenny Lim, CEO of Spritzer Berhad expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support the company received from customers throughout its three decades of existence.
“We’ve surmounted many obstacles to be where we’re today. The four guiding principles which we practise are integrity, faith, mutual respect and be open to ideas and challenges,” he mentioned.
“At our heart is the need to preserve the natural environment. Thus, we’ve planted over 16,000 trees on our 330-acre operational site. In addition, we use battery-operated bicycles inside and outside the factory to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide,” he explained.
Incidentally, Spritzer was established in 1989 and is a public-listed company on the Malaysian Bursa. Its annual income is in excess of RM300 million. As of today Spritzer is the largest producer of bottled mineral water in the country
Their latest product, “ACILIS” features environmentally-friendly bottles made from plant-based material sourced from sugar cane.
“Besides that, we also collaborate with NGOs to create public awareness on 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle), clean the beaches and plant coral reefs as part of our on-going effort in enhancing sustainability,” he added.
